Found a very nasty and critical bug in #Inkscape #SVG editor.
I need to reproduce it several time but it's something like this :
- Open several SVG files with Inkscape.
- Edit one of the SVG file with an IDE (I do use #Brackets ).
- If you try to save the same SVG file with Inkscape it seams to work.
- If you try to save the other SVG files with Inkscape it will save the content of the previous SVG file with the filename of the current SVG file.
Yes, you lost your work...
@ffeth It saves the content of one file but in each files, even if you see different contents for each files in your Inkscape editor.
@Brunus this is a critical bug indeed
@ffeth I'm on more tests...
@Brunus
I'm not using Inkscape so no problem here, anyway.. Losing my works made me always frustrated so.. I understand the critical bug you face up there..
Hope you did'nt lost many files like that.. Report it to Inkscape team asap! 😱
@atakris I lost 1 hour of work yesterday.
I did not succeed to reproduce right now, it's a very complex situation involving both Inkscape, Brackets, a USB Key and my Debian system...very hard to define...
@Brunus
Ha.. Yeah.. I see..
Unable to reproduce but.. I suggest you to talk about all you currently know to the Inkscape team. Perhaps they will find a way to reproduce it!?
@Brunus You mean : it saves all open files every time ?
