Released a patch for #Lagrange v1.10:
This fixes the disappearing Feeds tab actions and a potential crash when downloading large files.
My first impressions of the Pinephone keyboard.
If you're learning to code and you feel like this, you're not alone
Sxmo 1.7.0 was just released, featuring most of all lots of fixes and small improvements that should make daily usage easier. Thanks to the many contributors!

Just saw a bullshit headline claiming Disney lost $600M on the Black Widow film due to piracy. The BS napkin math on this is that it was downloaded 20 million times. Then the article declared that each download is somehow a lost Disney+ subscription with $30.
This is obviously ridiculous logic. There's no evidence that a pirated show would have been purchased if not downloaded, let alone that a platform subscription would have happened. Nor do we even know that 20 million downloads represents 20 million individuals.
This isn't a matter of technical ignorance. These facts aren't hard to understand. They're intentionally misrepresented to benefit rich companies that want penalty payments in lawsuits. What utter hogwash.
Two #Lagrange patches for the price of one!
v1.9.4 and v1.9.5:
- crash when page has an URL-less link line
- home row navigation vs. bindings and macOS menus
- built with SDL 2.0.18
- reverted a line drawing workaround meant for SDL 2.0.16
- updated UI translations
Android Alpha 3
This should fix the vertical offset problem and other screen orientation related issues. There's also a useful new feature: the leftmost two toolbar buttons can be configured in Settings > UI.
I think I have an idea for an app for my #banglejs 2 watch to control a bit of my domotic setup. Main question is how to make it a bit reusable so it's not just useful only for me ^^
I'm thinking a simple app where we can define buttons and their associated api requests 🤔
I was thinking about what type of app I could build for my #banglejs but couldn't find a real good one… The main reason being that I like a "dumb connected watch" (not a "smart" thing). I like that it doesn't do much and don't draw my attention too much :]
When I'll use my #pinephone more, I'll look into connecting the 2, but for now I must admit it does the job for the limited amount of things I want a watch to do :)
And I love the length of the banglejs battery :)
The elves brought us a #Lagrange patch, straight from the North Pole! 🎁
Added Dutch UI translation. Bug fixes: non-HarfBuzz text rendering; certificate "valid from" time; selecting identity scope on macOS.
PGP signatures now available for each file.
I made a Git repository viewer for #Gemini. It's written in Python and requires a recent version of pyOpenSSL.
It's the first Gemini server I've written. As usual, the Gemini part was a piece of cake — all the hard work was with Git and trying to come up with a reasonable URL path hierarchy.
The source includes a small `gemini.py` if anyone wants a head start in making a server.
I often add/remove people, don't take it personally :)
