upgraded our nextcloud instance to version 24.0.0 about an hour ago. everything went smoothly as usual..
apart from all the new features in #nextcloud24, a new security header added (x-download-options) according to #nextcloud security recommendations.

αν και μακρυα από games, δείτε και το lutris. ισως διευκολυνει να είναι μαζεμένα, και κάνει και πιο ευκολη την επιλογη wine version (iirc).

ΥΠΕΝΘΥΜΙΣΗ: Αφαιρέστε το 8.8.8.8 ή το 1.1.1.1 και άλλα κατασκοπευτικά δημόσια συστήματα επίλυσης DNS από το wifi, τον υπολογιστή, τα εταιρικά δίκτυά σας κ.λπ., στέλνει όλο το απόρρητό σας στην Google και τη συνεργασία. Εάν πραγματικά δεν ξέρετε πώς να δημιουργήσετε έναν επιλύτη DNS (10 λεπτά εγκατάσταση) Για το δίκτυό σας, υπάρχουν καλοί χειριστές #FFDN που προσφέρουν ηθικούς δημόσιους επιλύτες DNS και επίσης κάνουν ασφαλή DNS (DoT ή DoH). #nextcloud 24, which seems like a great release with server and client improvements, is due for upgrade in our instance sometime next week..
took a bit longer than scheduled due to some issues with (virtual) scsi adapters (...), but everything finally came up normally late last night..
gave us a valuable lesson on migrations (you can never keep track of everything) , and also kept several notes for our internal wiki during the process..
VPS and email hosting will get a few hours of downtime today... migrating VPS machines over to a new host..

άμεση αλλαγή nextcloud. από σήμερα το nextcloud instance της Πρίζας άλλαξε υποδομή, και από dedicated server πάει σε cloud vm. στο ίδιο datacenter (γερμανία), χωρίς καμία αλλαγή στις ρυθμίσεις του.
το nextcloud encryption module παραμένει, οπότε τα αρχεία σας αποθηκεύονται ακόμα κρυπτογραφημένα στους (virtual) δίσκους.

#RightToRepair will become an absolute necessity in the near future. Having all the supply chain completely fucked up and prices all over increasing like never before, people will need to learn how to do stuff themselves instead of pulling a credit card.

secondary vps (used mainly for dns, search, mirror, tor relay) down for maintenance..
no website hosting, nor emails affected, but dns resolving could be slow occasionally.
vps hosting might see higher load during maintenance work.
a month of abuse reports (416 reports). 5 top offenders :
Micro$oft, 111 reports
Digital Ocean, 72 reports
CN (chinanet, cnnic, etc), 48 reports
Google Cloud, 32 reports
Amazon, 17 reports
2 weeks of abuse reports,
74 reports to M$ and counting. that's like 5 different attacking ips each day from M$ cloud. (to a very low volume hosting machine..)
12 days of testing automated abuse reports (mostly brute force) from blocklist.de. 163 total so far.
~1/3 of the reports (56) go to M$ (azure).
