Which argument against Zoom/Slack is the most important for you ? 1/2 #OpenScience
1/2 * it's the software that controls us * it discourages/forbids interoperability * it discourages export of my own data * installing binary blobs is dangerous
@boud Hi, for me export of my own data and interoperability is somehow deeply related. If I can export, I can transform and interoperate easily (more or less)
@teebo Well, I was rather thinking of the ordinary user point of view. In the Fediverse, I can '@' someone and chat smoothly across multiple servers without having to overtly export files and then import them. But I can believe you that from the software point of view, these are closely related.
