There is no ban. This is a statement by a single person, it is not legally binding, the schools don't care about his opinion. Probably a student or parent would have to sue a school and win the legal case to change anything.

Also they are already working with Microsoft to solve this issue.

@yannbrrd I'm living in Germany and have kids going to public schools. Despite people pledging for FOSS, most of the schools are still using the big 5 companies for administrative or educational purposes.

@77elements @yannbrrd or even worse, have reintroduced them after a longer stint with education-focused Linux and BSD distributions.
