On y apprend déjà des choses : c'est un point d'entrée possible au texte.<br />Le lecteur (un peu trop) attentif aux nombres relèvera qu'il y a 43 notes et 45 pages <a href="https://framapiaf.org/tags/format" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>format</span></a> A4 (le 42 est proche).</p>

Today's was actually one of the easier ones, from the <a href="https://hcommons.social/tags/colophon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>colophon</span></a> of MSOTS 00008: ܟܘܪܦܘܡܦܕܝ = Kurpumpady.</p><p>The ms was copied by the scribe ܩܫܝܫܐ ܐܝܣܚܩ ܙܥܘܪܐ ܒܦܕܝܐܛܝܠ (the priest Isḥaq "the small" of [the family] Padayattil), who goes on to identify himself further as a student of Mattai Konat. This scribe also has a seal with his name in both Syriac and Malayalam, which you can see in the images.</p>

Generally in Syriac manuscripts you see the Anno Graecum dating and/or the standard western A.D. dates. However, occasionally in the manuscripts copied in India, we see the Kollam calendar.</p><p>So here, we see ܐܦܨ ܡܪܢܝܬܐ (1890 AD) followed by ܟܘܠܠܡ ܐܣܗ (Kollam 1065).
