MichaelFirst Pi 5 build successfully. If anything brings me to switching to to Tiny/Mini/Micro machines for my Homelab, it's going to be the fiddlyness of the Pi hardware. That PCIe ribbon cable was no fun at all to get into both slots. Nothing for a guy with my rather lackluster motor skills.I also found that my worries about screw lengths were warranted. Paul RichardsThinking of refreshing my home server setup. Currently have NixOS on bare metal with a few things running directly there (Nextcloud, NFS server, some lesser things). I’m interested in learning kubernetes some more so I’m considering replacing NixOS with Proxmox then running Kubernetes across some Fedora CoreOS VMs (or some similar container focused OS). Is that a reasonable start? The reason I did the Jenkins build container work was to build a custom container based on <a href="https://github.com/m0ngr31/genmon" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank">https://github.com/m0ngr31/genmon</a> with some customization.I now have an ESP32 in my generator running ESPHome based on this <a href="https://github.com/gregmac/Genmon-ESP32-Serial-Bridge" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank">https://github.com/gregmac/Genmon-ESP32-Serial-Bridge</a> I then have the Genmon container running in my k8s instance connect to the ESP32 via the serial bridge and monitor my generator. I have an outdoor wireless sensor that runs on a single AA battery. I'd like put it on a solar powered charger of some kind, so I don't have to keep changing out the battery. I found these things on AliExpress. One is a USB-to-AA converter. The other is a solar-to-USB power supply. Can I combine these 2 things ($10.50) to achieve what I want?
