you see is still night/morning frost here in Finland. garden not be take care of for year and year, much unkempt, overgrown. that be good for many thing! but also there be trash of lie around 😢

also see one of tree (it be tallest in line of 5 pine) be have bare patch on branch. last summer it be have many yellow needle from dry (maybe heat too). yellow needle fall off but now be bare patches. I be give water to tree, hope recover this year.

I be want help soil be hold water more. maybe dig little ditch or make depression near tree? #permaculture peeps, can give advice?

The bee population die off that has stricken the United States agricultural sector is a four alarm fire.

They don’t have a solid idea why this is happening, but this die off is occurring in parallel to the mass die off of insect populations all over the world and the unraveling of the food web.

Vous voulez voir à quoi ça ressemble un agrume qui a pris un coup de gel ? Le premier à gelé dans la partie haute, le pied à résisté parce qu'il était dans le paillage et près du sol.
Autre agrume, plus gros au départ, mais complétement gelé, pareil je vais tailler près du sol et voir si ça repart.

Un tour au jardin : Point boutures ça pousse, même si tout n'a pas pris et je ne sais pas trop pourquoi…
Donc petits fruits dans des godets.
J'ai un grand pot dans lequel je met les grosses boutures : aubépine et saule, ça marche à tout les coup, vigne, chalef et là j'ai testé kiwi, ça fait des feuilles mais ça ne veut pas dire qu'il y a des racines.
Une bouture direct de chalef en terre.

Quarterly Updates: The Rebirth of Spring

Greetings from the Holy Mojave in its period of yearly renewal: as heat returns to us with the return of the Sun to the Northern hemisphere, so, too, does life begin its frantic rush to living before the heat slows it temporarily. We experienced the Spring Equinox on March 20th, and so return and rebirth are on our minds.
We believe that humans are a keystone species, and that our role is the careful stewardship of the ecosystems we a a part of. This belief underpins our philosophy and intention, and serves as the basis for the work of sowing seeds and routing water, allocating resources to plants and animals that serve the land as we do.
This is our first release of a continuous series of quarterly updates aligning with our Wheel of the Year observances and so we will, just this once, start from the beginning. We hope each quarterly update reminds you how capable you are to make the changes you wish to see in your own community, your own landbase.

La cédrèle de Chine Toona sinensis semblait en train de mourir.
La tige de 2 mètres a crevé jusqu'à assez bas, quelques centimètres en fait.
Mais voilà que ça repart.
Je suis pas prêt pour la vitesse de croissance que ça va avoir.
Démarrage très lent actuellement.

Terre de jardin herbes tronc de jeune arbre dénudé mais avec deux bourgeons qui pointent percent l'écorce et laissent deviner des petites feuilles. Cet arbre est l'acajou chinois Toona sinensis.
