The only samples i used for this track, but technically that is not 100% correct: First, the cymbals on the 909 are samples. Roland couldnt get realistic cymbal sounds out of analog circuits (808 cymbals, anyone? As an aside, check out <a href="https://pureadmin.qub.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/125044847/tr_808_cymbal_a_physically_informed_circuit_bendable_digital.pdf" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank">https://pureadmin.qub.ac.uk/ws/portalfiles/portal/125044847/tr_808_cymbal_a_physically_informed_circuit_bendable_digital.pdf</a>) so they used samples. Haven't found them yet but I ran into a cassette which was recorded with a custom drum sequencer I had modified to work with the Gravis Ultrasound soundcard. Almost infinite. Then on the hardware side, many GM/GS modules have a TR909 drumkit. Same for many sample based drum machines, ranging from Alesis to Boss. Got a few of those with TR909 drums. Then there are the imitations. There is the Roland TR9 boutique which is no longer manufactured, unfortunately. A few other NLAs from other brands. And there is the Behringer RD9.
