RaymondPierreL3I've had a pdf printing issue with Thunderbird, Firefox, and Librewolf for some time and cursed my way through web pages looking for answers. I had come across the same issue many years ago and had found a value in 'settings' that I needed to change. Do you think I can recall or find that setting now? NO I couldn't. I deleted the 'saved' printing instructions but that made zero diff.In the end, frustrated and tired of reading blogs and useless answers, I installed a free-to-use FoxIt (you need to look for it on their website) on my Win10 machine and made it the default pdf viewer. Works a treat, no issues at all. I will slowly work to replace Firefox (the traitors) with LibreWolf as well. I still want a 100% backup of my current machine in case I fuck things up. Something that I can load and it will fully replace my "C:" / "/sda1" with what is saved.Like, I install Linux Mint, and something isn't working right. Miha MarkičFirst time installing <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ubuntu</a> desktop on bare metal. 24.10 won't install throwing an unexpected error. 24.04 installs and works otherwise, however it randomly freezes every couple of hours or so. Not a good start to my Linux transition. This is an older Ryzen computer that merrily works with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/win10" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#win10</a>. The only difference is that I'm using an older SSD for Ubuntu.

FOSStasticI just installed Windows 10 Home on a device. I never realized how crappy <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Windows</a> has become in my opinion.My first mistake was connecting it to the internet in the setup wizard, as it then tried to force me to create and sign into a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Microsoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Microsoft</a> account. I then researched this, but none of the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Win11" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Win11</a> tricks worked on <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Win10" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Win10</a>.I managed to disconnect from the WLAN again by opening the command line (Shift + F10) and typing "netsh wlan disconnect". Afterwards I could create an offline account.
