After reading the #EFF material, there doesn't seem to be any conclusion on whether an active #Verizon #SIM card is needed to process cell tower signals for analyzing. Can someone confirm either way if one is required?
Additionally, does the Orbic need to be officially unlocked for RayHunter to work?

The EFF is urging the cybersecurity community to speak out against an executive order targeting the former Director CISA Chris Krebs.
President Trump's executive order rescinded the security clearances of SentinelOne executives after the company hired Chris Krebs, the former director of the CISA. Krebs was dismissed by Trump in 2020 for refuting claims of election fraud.

"So in ruling for our clients, the judge found that the mere fact that DOGE could access their records was an injury that gave us standing to proceed – and also found that there were other injuries that would separately give us standing, including the possibility that DOGE's breach could expose our clients to "hacking, identity theft, and other activities that are substantially harmful."
The US government repeatedly argued that we weren't accusing them of disclosing our clients' records, every time they did this, the judge pointed to our actual filings, which plainly assert that DOGE agents were "viewing, possessing and using" our clients' records, and that this constitutes "disclosure" under the law, and according to OPM's own procedures.
The judge found that we were entitled to seek relief under the Administrative Procedures Act (APA), which proscribes the conduct of federal agencies – and that our relief could be both "declaratory" (meaning a court could rule that DOGE was breaking the law) and "injunctive" (meaning the court could order DOGE to knock it off)."

Congress is reviving site-blocking laws—and EFF says it’s as reckless as ever.
Proposals like the Foreign Anti-Digital Piracy Act (FADPA) would empower courts to order ISPs and DNS providers to block entire websites—without due process.
Why it matters:

Site-blocking doesn’t just target piracy—it silences speech
・
It can unintentionally take down thousands of innocent sites
・
Evading blocks is trivial—using VPNs, alternate DNS, etc.
・
Many cases would be handled ex parte, with no one to defend the accused
EFF calls this an internet kill switch in disguise, and it’s a dangerous precedent for free expression and open web access in the U.S.
The entertainment industry is thriving without these laws. So why hand them censorship power?

The bad news is that I was sitting in a waiting room for a spinal x-ray since I’ve been having recurring lower back spasms and pain.
The good news is an older woman saw the back of my @eff “Stay Golden” hoodie¹ and stopped to tell me, “That’s absolutely beautiful!” and we struck up a brief conversation about the #EFF. She didn’t really grok what the EFF is/does, but she repeatedly told me how beautiful the design was!

The 5 litigants are known to have acted in concert to take advantage of the weak #SLAPP protections within our state of incorporation and to bankrupt us.
