Had errands to do, but since today looked like the only one that wouldn't be rainy I also headed out for a much needed mt bike ride. Right off the bat I run across this large growth of mushrooms and further up on the same little tree (it had fallen over) a flock of jellies.

lot of small pancake sized orange mushrooms on a small moss covered tree. They reminded me of Chicken of the Woods, but seem a little different. Not sure.

Golden Jelly, Witch’s Butter, etc… On the same small tree and looking very jelly like. Most important is that one of this is perfectly colorless, a little semi-opaque clear/white bulb.

End cut of a log. The bark has separated some from the log. There are numerous colonies of moss (and related things) on its surface. Many different colors and textures.

Hike this morning, with a fair bit of bushwhacking following new streams and interesting colors. Efts were everywhere.

Violet toothed polypore. A striped light tan mushroom on side of old tree trunk that turns to violet on the edges and then a lighter, almost white outline.

Newly emerged button mushrooms out of side of rotting log. Maybe an alder scalycap?

Cerrena? A very interesting texture and coloring with a little green “forest” of fuzz on top of the fungus while underneath is a frilly/textured white.

Bright yellow almost see-thru golden jelly fungus on a downed branch next to clumps of moss and maybe a bit of lichen.

Mealy Pixie Cup lichen (Cladonia Chlorophaea grp.) and moss on a rock.

Deep breathing, deep in the woods today - look closely and you can see my bike parked next to singletrack while I rested and reset my brain with wildflowers, clover and an absolute chorus of birdsong
