The many orange tips of this ground lichen were impossible to miss as I climbed up the trail, as if the lichen was hoping to be noticed. I didn't want to let this organism down, and here we are

… it's always messed with my mind that the Old Coastguard Station webcam at Robin Hood's Bay faces south and so has what is the east coast on the left.

Even Paddy the Irish mutt got a bit tied of running in soft sand. Here we are hoping that over there yonder, we would find the gravel road we should have been on. I was paying too much attention to #RAAAD and The Doors than the map.

Tomorrow got to be an early start, as we are forecasted 21c, which is just too hot for mutt and human to run in.
