Pepper&Carrot episode 37 production report: an important milestone today. The alpha version (still in French) was posted to proofreaders. Here is a photo of my setup over last month for drawing and inking all pages:
It's a Telkom Poland phone from the 70s; I took it from my parent in law attic. It reminds me communication technology I had at home when I was a kid and I love its vintage look.
I have a project to build a computer into it or a data/storage homeserver. It has good output for cables, and air grid under. But on my todo list since ages. 😆
@davidrevoy Love it!!
@davidrevoy
So time to catch breath and look into the new Inkscape release?
Perception seems positive here on Fedi so far.
@RyunoKi Oh, I test all the beta since this old time and report bugs ahead when necessary. All clear as far as I tested; only goodies!
The big step was the 0.9 to 1.x ; now SVG between the 1.x is very similar so it's easier to have cross compatibility with the translator/proofreaders team.
@davidrevoy Hoo I'm in the market for a drawing-tablet/screen. Is that a Wacom or something else? Looks great
@coffe I think it is this one: https://www.davidrevoy.com/article842/review-of-the-xp-pen-artist-24-pro-on-linux
@davidrevoy
@valvin @davidrevoy Thank you! Will take a look.
@duponin It's screenfetch , too bad it shows the Ubuntu logo and not the blue Kubuntu one 😉
@daniel Yes, from Poland 70's. I found it in the attic of my parent in law. I plan to DIY a case for a PC in it, one day 😁
@davidrevoy do you really open that many canvases at the same time 😅
@chengdulittlea Haha, never or almost. I only do when pages are done, just to adjust and clean all layer stacks before syncing them with the server; this overview is convenient to drag and drop filter layer from one to another one (eg. a slight unsharp).
@davidrevoy Ahh I get it. Thanks!
@davidrevoy i love seeing workspaces from other artists😍
@davidrevoy @kde
what does that rotary phone do? Do you use it?
