I ordered a gorgeous #LateArt of #PepperCarrot from @davidrevoy at Reissue Cafe in Tokyo.
It also felt cool that I was probably one of the only customers asking to reproduce a drawing they were formally allowed to use thanks to #CreativeCommons
@remidupre @davidrevoy How did they do this? Chocolate powder jet printer?
In Dublin, in the Storehouse of Guinness, they have a malt jet printer to print any graphics, especially also your photo, on the foam of the beer (they call this "Stoutie"). See

@till @davidrevoy I'm pretty sure it was done by hand, with a little stick and a picture for reference
@remidupre @till I think (even , I'm pretty sure) the reference was https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/viewer/artworks__2018-11-19_thank-you-patreon-day_by-David-Revoy.html
@davidrevoy @till it was! Their process is to have you show a picture on your phone, then they take a picture of it with their phone So this part is also pretty much handmade in some way
@remidupre @davidrevoy chocolate powder (or whatever) printers actually exist, I have seen one in the #Wien Mitte the Mall shopping center 5 (walking) minutes from my home! On a #Nespresso booth which is there this week for a launch of a new machine. The printer seems to be the same model as the one in the Storehouse in Dublin, but print quality on beer seems to be better than on Cappuccino...
@remidupre @davidrevoy Web site of the printer's manufacturer, Ripples: https://www.drinkripples.com/
Both in the Storehouse and at Nespresso they use a Ripples ...
lp -d ripples -o media-type=cappuccino ...
@till @remidupre Thanks for the link! I was curious of the price and $2,100.00 Ok, it's really for big companies.
