@prokoudine @kdenlive Oh yes. I'll reply with enthusiasm, and I'll explore where lead this rabbit hole. Certainly a repackaged version of Kdenlive with a malware. 
@davidrevoy @prokoudine @kdenlive Be careful when you do. I once investigated a scam and accidentally forgot to do my safety precautions first and then accidentally ran the program on my main computer instead of opening it in a text editor ... Luckily it didn't do too much harm and the harm it did was reversible. But still. Careful!
@Reina Thanks! Yes, I was super careful. Like extra careful: old email to reply, handling that on a dedicated Firefox container tab that I deleted, uBlock Origin, fake OS/user agent, an antivirus (clamAV) and all of that on a GNU/Linux system (without Wine for any exe). I haven't downloaded the attachment or followed links. It should reduce risk to near zero.
