I had to share this neat trick. I like playing #openttd and since I heard of the JGR patchset, I wanted to try it. Not packaged in #guix, but you can still get it (relatively) easily:
guix build openttd --with-git-url=openttd=https://github.com/JGRennison/OpenTTD-patches --with-branch=openttd=jgrpp --without-tests=openttd
@roptat it is not packaged "yet" or it can't be packaged for some reason?

It's been a while since I played a new game, and a game that runs, and a game with BGM. I'll give it a try.

Unless you change settings, this is the same game as openttd, with just a few extra (generating bigger maps mainly). If you don't know the base game, you should start from there, and then consider whether JGR is your thing, and spend an hour in the settings and newgrf menus to make it the way you want to play :)

But thanks anyways, this game seems fun so far. And it's even better when played with a gamepad.
Who knows what other games I've been missing...
