The reasons given in this article would be more convincing if they stuck to actual computer scientists.

#gracehopper #billgates yes but the others are arguable.

From what I've read #stevejobbs paid people to write nearly all his code. That doesn't really count.

The same goes for #elonMusk too. He's a #scientist yeah but not really a computer scientist.

#dennisritchie or #linustorvalds would be better examples.

If you want Arm CPU with LPDDR5X memory & high-speed interconnect to a Hopper GPU today, you are looking at NVIDIA GH200. NVIDIA has two key innovations here that really set it apart from what you can get elsewhere. First, LPDDR5X memory is soldered onto the package. Second, the NVLink-C2C is a high-bandwidth interface between the CPU and the GPU. The 72 Arm v9 cores are Arm Neoverse V2 from 2022 so not exciting.

What a masterclass from Grace Hopper. 40+ years later, and I can still relate to everything she said.

If the name doesn't ring a bell, Grace Hopper is a pioneering computer scientist and U.S. Navy rear admiral. Her insights from decades ago are still incredibly relevant today.
