The location of Nuclear power plants is not optimised for safe operation. The Loy Yang location was originally chosen due to coal deposits not geological stability. This area is prone to geological faulting.

“#PeterDutton says his office asked whether billionaire (Oligarch) #GinaRinehart's jet was available for event: #OppositionLeader Peter Dutton has admitted his own error after saying he had never requested access to billionaire mining magnate Gina Rinehart's #PrivateJet in his travels.”

Mr Dutton has previously #declared flights provided by #HancockProspecting, owned by Ms #Rinehart, but on Tuesday said "no" when asked if he had ever personally asked to be flown courtesy of the nation's #richest woman.

“Coalition sources on Wednesday told The AFR that while the party would honour the NRF’s existing commitments if elected on May 3, the remaining funds would be put to other uses, including possibly the Coalition’s plans to build seven #NuclearPower plants across the country.

The Coalition will not scrap or exit existing #NRF (National Reconstruction Fund) agreements over fears that would create sovereign risk, whereby investors avoid making investments in Australia due to uncertainty about government decision-making.”

“About 90% of the #nuclear generation capacity the #Coalition proposes to build would not have access to enough water to run safely, according to a report commissioned by #LiberalsAgainstNuclear.

If you remember the member for #Hume is insisting the Federal Government if the #LNP wins election will purchase, run and make a profit using nuclear power.

No mention of locations of power generation sites (I assume existing sites) nor is there any mention of #geological, #enviromental or #NuclearWaste disposal studies.
