@Likewise Great advice ! I am down that road too: low carb chocoholic (now moving on to cocoa nibs) with 6 hours of feed window 5 days a week.
I am 58 years old and insulin resistant. The above nutritional changes plus 40 min of strenght/cardio training every other day, have given me a new lease on life.
My own two bits: walnuts, pecanas, macadamias and avocado provide a lot of healty fats and Omega3/6 balance. When taken at the end of the feeding window, they make the 18 hr fast a piece of... err meatpie 
!
I also make my own cannabinoid extracts. Non psychotropic ones such as cannabinol CBN (main CB2 receptor agonist) and CBD from flower (no hemp) help regulate blood sugar, stabilize mood and protect my liver, spleen colon and pancreas.
Gladly surprised to find your testimony as health does not seem to be a priority for mastodon people...

Same. Like a lot of #ActuallyAutistic people, I don't sleep well, and #CBD shortly before bed helps. In fact, I started taking CBD soon after it became legal here, some years before I knew I was autistic.
I now use oil rather than capsules, because oil gives me finer control over the dose and it works out cheaper than other formats. You do have to be careful not to spill it on your top, though: it stains.
I've used #GinkgoBiloba for several decades. It sharpens both my reactions and my cognition.
I take #curcumin for other reasons, but I find it improves my working memory and my digestion as well. Simple turmeric is poorly absorbed and often contaminated with lead, so anyone wanting to experiment with it would be well advised to use a modern, safer, more bioavailable preparation.

@KrissyKat This seems really regressive to me. Even in #Tennessee where I now live, which is just as red as the #Hoosier State and arguably more so, one can acquire #CBD products. Nobody was more surprised than me when I learned this. So this just feels spiteful to me, and as you say people who really want it will find ways to get it.

Und wenn ich mir den Anteil an Leuten allein hier auf Mastodon anschaue, die das für eine höhö-Schmunzelgeschichte halten, kann ich Merz und Söder ihre Dummheit tatsächlich nur noch so mittel übel nehmen. #CBD #Cannabis

In #Österreich wurden #CBD Blüten neu klassifiziert. Bei CBD Blüten handelt sich um #Cannabis, das maximal 0,2% #THC enthält und hohen CBD Gehalt hat.
Diese gelten jetzt als Rauchware und unterliegen dem Österreichischem Tabakgesetz.
Das bedeutet:
34% Tabaksteuer auf die Blüten
Verkauf nur noch in #Trafiken (staatliche Verkaufsstellen)
Wahrscheinlich das Ende von Großteilen der CBD Branche in Österreich.
