PSA pour les geminauts francophones, ovh a pour le moment suspendu le domaine planet-gemini.fr pour une raison inconnue, je vais essayer de comprendre.
Je n'avais pas vu l'email d'ovh concernant le domain du planet gemini arrivé samedi:
Votre nom de domaine planet-gemini.fr est actuellement enregistré chez OVHcloud. Nous vous informons que ce service est désormais suspendu.
C'est tout… 0 explication, rien… Première fois que ça m'arrive chez ovh.
Par contre, pour prendre l'argent ça y'a pas eu de soucis…

Is there a modern equivalent to newsgroups that is still minimalist?
I’d like something in the #GeminiProtocol spirit. Like just sync .gmi files as messages in a structured way. You need an authorized public key to write.
Clients should be able to read and write on #retroComputing devices even if server and the bridge to reach it could be more advanced (like an ESP32 or a Pi to handle sockets and signing)

@thomholwerda I mostly blame modern stuff though. I wish MorphOS came by default with a native #GeminiProtocol browser.
PowerPC cpus will never have the power to run the modern web anyway. Alternative systems should push for an alternative web too.
