In the middle of the city’s ‘Red Light District’ stands the “Oude Kerk”, the city’s oldest building, founded in

. Its vast wooden ceiling, gives the Gothic interior a unique atmosphere.

The church shifted from Catholic to Protestant after the

Reformation. Many locals were buried here, including some prominent figures, like Saskia van Uylenburgh, Rembrandt’s wife.

Now a cultural venue, it hosts exhibitions, concerts & art. Though no longer used for services, its historic soul remains alive at the Oudekerksplein.

Old sedan four door parked in front of a modern building with a vintage sign "Lido" hung. Car is dark maroon nice and clean and boxy. Maybe an impala or something some kinda Chrysler from the 80s.
